David Crabtree (moderator)
News Anchor, WRAL-TV
 
David Crabtree has been news anchor for WRAL-TV since 1994, earning 10 Emmys and numerous other awards. David’s philosophy of serving the community and striving for fairness, accuracy and compassion is influenced by his studies in theology at the Vanderbilt School of Divinity and Oxford University in England. He is ordained as a vocational deacon in the Episcopal Church with a focus on death row and hospice care. He considers his work on the documentary "The Other North Carolina" one of his most memorable assignments. Originally aired February 2008, it cast a spotlight on the many rural counties across the state that have been struggling with declining populations, stagnant economies, high unemployment rates and high poverty rates.
 
 
Trish Hanchette
Division President, KB Home
 
Hanchette leads KB Home of Raleigh Durham, the largest home-building company in the Research Triangle region. Before being named president, she served as Executive Vice President. Last year, she guided the division through the national launch of KB Home’s partnership with Martha Stewart at Twin Lakes in Cary. Before joining KB Home, Hanchette was the division president for Colony Homes and also held leadership positions with Sunstar Homes, Prestonwood, and Pulte. In 2006, her division contributed more than $120,000 in monetary and in-kind donations to community organizations serving those in need. In both 2006 and 2007, Hanchette led her division to become recognized as one of the “Family Friendly 40” companies by Carolina Parent magazine, and is now leading a major sustainability initiative to adopt green building practices in KB’s communities.
 
 
Lars Hansen
President, Novozymes North America
 
Lars Hansen is the President of Novozymes North America in Franklinton, NC.  Denmark-based Novozymes is a global leader in bioinnovation, producing enzymes and other biological solutions for hundreds of applications. Hansen joined Novozymes in 1990 as a production planner. He subsequently gained international experience from leadership assignments as Executive Assistant to the CEO in Denmark, Sales & Marketing Director in China, Marketing Director for Southeast Asia and India, and President of Novozymes Japan. Firmly committed to sustainable development, Lars serves as co-chair on the Committee for Sustainability and Climate Change in the Biotechnology Industry Organization, Industrial and Environmental division.
 

Maria Kingery
Co-founder & Human Resources Director, Southern Energy Management
 
Maria Kingery co-founded SEM in 2001 with her husband Bob, and is currently the company’s director of human resources. She also oversees marketing and business development strategies and guides the vision of this fast-growing company. Maria believes people are SEM’s greatest asset, and is dedicated to building a top-notch team. She works hard to create a balanced work environment. With more than a decade of experience in sales and marketing, primarily in the commercial printing industry, Maria is an entreprenuer at heart with a passion for the creative process. Prior to co-founding SEM, she was a retail operations manager for Burt’s Bees, opening the company’s first retail store in Carrboro.
 

Rob Rolfsen
Director of Sustainable Development, Cisco

Rob Rolfsen is the Director of Sustainable Development for Cisco and is charged with measuring, monitoring and managing Cisco’s GhG emissions from its real estate portfolio.  He led the GhG data collection process and discussions which led to Cisco’s recent announcement that it will reduce GhG emissions by 25% by 2012 based on 2007 levels and is leading multiple initiatives to help achieve this goal.  Prior to this position, he was a Director in Enterprise Risk Management where he drove several Enterprise Risk Management assessments across the company and oversaw global Safety and Security. Prior to joining Cisco, Rob was a Special Agent with the FBI, where he worked computer intrusions and domestic terrorism, including the UNABOM investigation and trial. Previously, he practiced law in Washington DC with the US Government. Rob holds a BS in Finance and a JD from Louisiana State University and is a member of the Louisiana and North Carolina Bar Associations.
